Long-Term Strategic Partner – Swiss Re visits Fisantekraal

We recently had the privilege of welcoming Swiss Re, one of our valued long-term strategic partners, to Fisantekraal for an on-site visit with The Father’s Heart.

Moments like these are deeply meaningful, as they create space for our partners to connect with the work on the ground—meeting the young people whose lives are being impacted and witnessing firsthand the long-term difference their investment is making in vulnerable communities.

A highlight of the visit was the opportunity to walk the land where we will soon break ground on the Fisantekraal Child & Youth Development Centre. This milestone represents a significant step forward in expanding access to support, resources, and opportunities for children and families in the area.

Swiss Re’s commitment to advancing access to high quality education and shaping brighter futures is creating meaningful, lasting change. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and your continued investment in the lives of the children we serve.

Buy a Brick, Build a Future: Help Shape the Fisantekraal Child & Youth Development Centre

In 2020, The Father’s Heart launched the Buy a Brick, Build a Future campaign to help secure land for the Fisantekraal Child & Youth Development Centre?

Each brick purchased has carried far more than just a name—it represents belief, hope, and a shared commitment to the future of vulnerable children. Every sponsor will have their name written onto a brick, forming part of the very foundation of this life-changing Centre.

Today, that vision is becoming a reality.

As we prepare to break ground, we look forward to personally laying their bricks and standing on the very soil they helped secure and contributing to something that will serve generations to come. If you haven’t yet taken part, there is still time to become part of this lasting legacy.

For individuals and organisations purchasing 100 bricks or more, names will be engraved on a dedicated honour roll, proudly displayed in the future reception area of the Centre.

Timothy Taylor Padel Invitational Cup raising funds for vulnerable children

It was an incredible day of sport, generosity, and community impact at the Timothy Taylor Padel Invitational Cup, hosted at Padel Story.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Timothy Taylor for nominating The Father’s Heart as the beneficiary of this meaningful event. Through the collective generosity of the padel community, a phenomenal amount of funds was raised via the event auction—directly supporting the care and development of orphaned and vulnerable children.

We are deeply grateful to every sponsor who contributed prizes, helping make the auction such a success, and to all the players who donated clothing, toys and fresh produce towards our Currency & Nutritional Program. These contributions go far beyond the day itself—they provide dignity, opportunity, and practical support to the children and families we serve.

Events like the Timothy Taylor Padel Invitational Cup highlight the power of partnership and purpose-driven collaboration. Your belief in our work and your investment in long-term impact make a tangible difference in building stronger, more resilient communities.

Thank you for helping to change lives —one opportunity at a time. ❤️

Driving Change: The Father’s Heart Benefits from Just Property Prosper Charity Golf Day

In May, The Father’s Heart Community Development had the honour of being the official beneficiary of the Just Property Prosper Annual Charity Golf Day—an event where every swing carried both heart and purpose.

The day brought together an inspiring mix of golf enthusiasts, renewable energy leaders, local businesses, and community champions, all united by a shared mission to make a difference. The fairways were filled with camaraderie, laughter, and meaningful connections, creating an atmosphere as uplifting as it was competitive.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the event raised essential funds to support our ongoing work in transforming the lives of orphan and vulnerable families in our care in Fisantekraal.

We extend our deepest gratitude to:

  • Just Property Prosper – our main event sponsor, for making the day possible.

  • Wet hole sponsorsImpower Pty Ltd, Solar MD, and Heyns and Partners Inc & Dynamic Property Rentals– whose support added energy, fun, and generosity to the occasion.

A special shoutout also goes to our MC, PG Engelbrecht, for keeping spirits high and the laughs coming during the prize-giving ceremony.

Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, donated, and cheered us on. Every rand raised is helping to provide education, care and psychosocial support to the most vulnerable. Thank you for giving us a mulligan, so we can help shape better futures for the children of Fisantekraal.

Brights Hardware: Building a Brighter Future with The Father’s Heart

Our journey with Brights Hardware has been one of vision, commitment, and community transformation. As one of our longest-standing partners, Brights has supported The Father’s Heart from the very beginning—and their impact continues to grow.

Recently, we had the honour of welcoming a few groups of Brights Hardware staff members to our centre in Fisantekraal. This visit was more than just a tour—it was a powerful opportunity for hands-on involvement and connection.

The team joined us in:

Sitting in on a mentorship class with the incredible moms in our program,
Engaging with our online school students,
Assisting one of our Consumer Studies students with a practical component of her curriculum.

Their final stop was a visit to the future site of the Fisantekraal Child & Youth Development Centre, where we shared our bold vision for the next phase of community upliftment. It was a moment of inspiration—showing how long-term partnerships like this one are sowing into the lives of vulnerable children for generations to come.

A Simple Way to Make a Lasting Impact

Brights is making it easy for everyday South Africans to join the mission. Through their R2 for Change Campaign, customers can add just R2 to their total at checkout—a small amount with big potential to transform lives.

To put it into perspective: for the cost of just two grande cappuccinos, you could help change the future of a vulnerable child in our community.

Putting for a worthy cause

The Father’s Heart Community Development partnered up with Just Property Prosper, as the official beneficiary of their annual corporate charity Golf Day, held on 26th October at the prestigious Durbanville Golf Course. The event was a resounding success, raising over R100 000 for The Fathers Heart critical work with orphans and vulnerable children in the community of Fisantekraal.

The golf day connected golf enthusiasts, renewable energy partners, local businesses, and community members for a day of camaraderie and good golf while enjoying a challenging course, picturesque views and various opportunities to give back to a worthy cause.

Touched by the work and impact of The Fathers Heart, the 3 brothers, Pieter, Johannes and Hendrik van den Berg of Just Property Prosper reached out to the organisation earlier this year to strategize on how they could help raise funds and bring awareness about this critical work through their annual Corporate Golf Day.

A huge thank you to our main sponsor Just Property Prosper and our Hole sponsors; Impower Solar, Kathea Energy, Solar MD & Heyns & Partners for providing financial contributions and prizes to support the event and make it a reality.

The overwhelming support by the local businesses and individuals who rallied to support the cause by participating in the golf day demonstrated the dedication to the charity's mission. A special thank you as well to the following companies who supported by donating prizes, goody bag items, services, welcome drinks etc:

STBB, Jeremy Kilian, Callaway South Africa, Mlima Group, Dreyer Hoffman, Taurus Medical,  Devils Peak Brewery, Durbanville Hills, Just Property, Chamonix & Eikehof.

A special thanks to PG Engebrecht who was the MC and auctioneer of the evening, who provided fun entertainment while we handed out incredible prizes to the golfers and offered unique items for auction. A highlight of the auction was a statue donated to The Fathers Heart, by the world renowned, award winning artist Marco Olivier another supporter of their  life changing work.

Celebrating beautiful and bold women

Celebrating beautiful & bold women

In August we hosted another blessed and sold-out Women’s Day event spent with incredible, beautiful and bold women! We heard testimonies, shared stories, were encouraged, laughed, ate good food, met new friends, took lots of pics and had loads of fun! The motivational message for the morning by our phenomenal speakers Lucia Dramat & Candice Manuel Embrace Your Curves is to not give up, keep dreaming big, don’t let fear, anxiety & others opinions hold you back from pursuing your purpose & dreams and run a race of endurance. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind”.

The Fathers Heart Community Development would like to thank our title sponsor, Impower Pty Ltd. for their generous support to help us host this event (& even helped with the setup!). And to all our other sponsors listed below who generously gave of either their time, expertise, products or finances to ensure this year’s breakfast was another outstanding top class event, we are very grateful.

And to all the gorgeous bold & beautiful women who attended, thank you for your support. All of you have made a difference by supporting Orphan and Vulnerable childcare; with your partnership & continued support, collectively we can achieve much and impact many.
